The Conference on Innovation and Development of New Energy low-altitude Economy and Artificial Intelligence was successfully held
On the afternoon of January 15, 2025, “New Energy Low Altitude Economy and Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Development Forum” organized by Shanghai New Energy Industry Association was successfully held in Xuhui District Technology and Trade Building. This forum is an industry exchange and discussion activity in the context of the rise of low altitude economy globally, which has become part of the national strategy in China.
There are three speakers gave keynote reports in this conference.

Wu Tongshui, Deputy Director of Industry and Education Integration Committee of Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Executive Director of Working Group on Training of Low Altitude Economic Systems, delivered a keynote speech entitled “Overall Situation of the Low Altitude Economy and the Study of Strategic Issues in 2025”. He gave a detailed introduction on how the low-altitude economy can be developed, the overall situation of low-altitude economy and the study of strategic issues in 2025. He pointed out that the development of low-altitude economy requires the construction of skyway system, ground infrastructure construction, solving the airworthiness problem of aircraft manufacturing industry, as well as the improvement of the superstructure system such as management system, policy, regulation system and market system. He also mentioned that after the Central Economic Work Conference at the end of 2023 of China, the National “two sessions” in March 2024 and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Party Central Committee in July 2024, our party and country have reached a high degree of consensus on the significance and the strategic positioning of the development of low-altitude economy, meaning that China's low-altitude economy will be promoted in a series of major key areas in a substantial and in-depth manner in 2025. He said that the management system of low-altitude economy from the national level to provinces and municipalities will be further improved, the planning of governments at all levels will be further improved, the reform of airspace management system will be substantially and comprehensively promoted, the new infrastructure centered on the construction of intellectual network will be gradually carried out, the new airworthiness work system will be initially established, the low-altitude manufacturing industry will gradually get out of the predicament, and the application scenarios will be continuously expanded and marketized and popularized. The application scenarios will continue to expand and develop in the direction of marketization and popularization.

Mr. Ye Dejun, Chairman of Shanghai Shaanyao New Energy Development Co., Ltd. and Founder of Shanghai Hytekocean Co., Ltd. gave a keynote report on “Low Altitude Utilization of Hydrogen Energy Technology”. He started from the topic of hydrogen power conversion, which is the core of the hydrogen energy industry chain and industry, and pointed out that hydrogen is a decarbonized energy carrier, and the combination of “electricity to hydrogen” and “hydrogen to electricity” can integrate clean energy into the energy system to fully meet the future energy demand. The combination of “electricity to hydrogen” and “hydrogen to electricity” can incorporate clean energy into the energy system and fully meet future energy needs. He highlighted the advantages of hydrogen drones in terms of range, safety, stability, economic cost, service life and environmental friendliness, as well as their applications in industry, agriculture, transportation and emergency response.

Wang Hanyun, Chief Expert of State Grid New Energy Cloud and president of Huzhou New Energy Cloud Carbon Neutral Research Institute, made a report titled “Artificial Intelligence and New Energy Standing at the New Singularity of Low Altitude Economy”. He successively introduced the development history of artificial intelligence, domestic artificial intelligence-related enterprises and their key products and technology features, the application of AI in the power industry, the application of artificial intelligence in the field of new energy, and distributed photovoltaic roof identification. He said that driven by policy, science and technology, and market demand, the application scenarios of low-altitude economy are expanding, which will open up a new space of trillion-dollar industry. With the development of low-altitude economy industry, the battery industry is ushering in another major leap, which also prompts the charging and switching infrastructure to carry out another major iteration, and at the same time, the development of low-altitude economy can also make the new energy power generation facilities to accelerate the development of the industry.
In the discussion and free speech session, guests and enterprise representatives asked questions and exchanged opinions on the below three topics with a warm atmosphere at the scene: low altitude economy policy and development situation; application scenarios of low altitude vehicles and new energy and related services; application of artificial intelligence in low altitude economy, and emerging new needs of low altitude economy prompting the continuous optimization and upgrading of artificial intelligence.
Mr. Zhu Yuanhao, Honorary President of Shanghai New Energy Industry Association, summarized the meeting and said that the development of low altitude economy will promote the development of new energy industry, and similarly, the continuous development of new energy industry will promote the development of low altitude economy, and the two are complementary to each other.
