The Department of Energy (DOE) in the Philippines has finally approved almost 10.2 GW of new wind, solar, and storage capacity in its Green Energy Auction (GEA-4). This effectively increases the total capacity of this round from the originally announced 9.37 GW.

Last week, the department announced selecting 123 winning bidders for 10.195 GW capacity across diverse technologies, including ground-mounted solar, rooftop solar, floating PV, integrated renewable energy projects with BESS, and onshore wind.
