New venture aims to solve station uptime and operational failures that plague hydrogen fueling infrastructure
Grove offers owner representation and O&M services to help station developers scale safely, efficiently, and with less downtime
Three hydrogen infrastructure veterans have teamed up to launch Grove Hydrogen Solutions, a startup laser-focused on fixing one of the most persistent pain points in the fuel cell mobility ecosystem: the unreliability of hydrogen refueling stations. Co-founded by former Nikola Corp. executives Ole Hoefelmann, Gildas Bonnier, and Jason Coble, the company will provide station owners with end-to-end support spanning owner representation, commissioning, and long-term operations and maintenance (O&M).
“Here we go,” wrote Bonnier on LinkedIn. “Backed by decades of experience, Grove Hydrogen Solutions helps fuel cell mobility scale with safe, reliable, and efficient stations. From planning through daily operations, we stand with station owners — as advocate and Operations & Maintenance partner.”
Grove's model is outcome-driven, with a focus on maximizing uptime and cutting inefficiencies across the hydrogen value chain. The team brings leadership experience from companies like Nikola and Air Liquide, where they worked on hydrogen infrastructure strategy, heavy-duty station deployment, supply chain optimization, and technology partnerships. “We’re here to help scale zero-emission mobility — one station at a time,” the company stated.
