Battery storage optimizer Enspired has announced new partnerships in Spain and Poland to expand its commercial optimization services, integrating its platform with local firms Nexus Energía and Ekovoltis.
Enspired is a commercial optimizer for grid-scale battery storage assets, operating primarily across European power markets, using AI-driven trading strategies to maximize revenue from BESS services.
Spain
In Spain, Enspired will work with Nexus Energía to support the national goal of 22.5 GW of storage by 2030. Enspired’s AI-based optimization tools will be integrated into Nexus’s platform for both standalone and co-located battery systems. The companies point to Spain’s mFRR or manual Frequency Restoration Reserve market as a strong opportunity, favoring battery systems over slower assets like hydro or gas turbines.
“This alliance facilitates the advancement of storage. It allows us to combine our leading position in balancing services with Enspired’s lauded approach to AI-powered optimization to maximize value for customers while supporting grid stability in Spain,” said Miguel Fandiño, deputy general manager of Nexus Energía.
Enspired says it is the only optimizer currently publishing portfolio performance figures, with actual revenues and results certified by KPMG in Austria and circulated.
Poland
In Poland, Enspired is partnering with Ekovoltis, the country’s first balancing services provider, to deliver commercial optimization to a pipeline of more than 420 MW of storage. Poland’s signal-activated RUS (Reserve Market for Intervention Services, or ‘Rezerwa Uruchamiana na Sygnał’ in Polish) market is worth over €564 million annually, and optimized assets could earn more than €188,000 per MW each year, with the potential for a 15–25% revenue increase from additional strategies.
“Thanks to our partnership with Enspired, we are taking another step forward by offering our customers access to the absolute best energy storage optimization technology in Europe,” said Bartłomiej Kalisiewicz of Ekovoltis.
With these partnerships, Enspired joins other optimizers like Habitat Energy and Flexitricity in targeting regional growth, but adds a focus on transparency and audit-backed claims.
Enspired CEO Jürgen Mayerhofer said, “Dynamic markets change quickly, but they also allow you to grow fast. When expanding internationally, the two most important tools are technology and experience. Our proprietary platform allows us to stay flexible in all markets while applying learnings from existing markets to new countries and vice versa. We value working with strong local partners like Nexus Energía in Spain and Ekovoltis in Poland, who understand the market and know how to capture value.”
