20 MW Bangladesh solar farm: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a $24.3 million financing package for a 20 MW solar farm in Bangladesh’s Mymensingh. The beneficiary Muktagacha Solartech Energy Limited (MSEL) will use the loan to build and operate the grid-connected solar farm that will generate 37.9 GWh of electricity annually. This is one of the initial private sector utility-scale solar facilities in the country to secure support from international financiers. MSEL is owned by Joules Power Limited (JPL) which is part of Expo Group, the Bangladesh-based conglomerate. ADB says its involvement will mobilize private sector involvement in developing renewable energy in the country.
Solar farm to withstand cyclonic pressure: APA Group has energized the Port Hedland Solar and Battery Project in Western Australia with 45 MW solar PV and 36.7 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity. It will provide reliable and affordable energy to mining giant BHP. It is designed to withstand sustained wind speeds of 80 m/s or 288 km/h, wind speeds associated with cyclones prevalent in the region.

FRV commissions its largest Australian project: Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) Australia has commissioned its largest solar project in Australia to date with 353 MW capacity. The Walla Walla Solar Farm in New South Wales (NSW) is located in the Riverina region. It is also one of the largest PV farms in the state. The project is contracted by Microsoft for its local data centers under a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA). This is the 8th operational project in FRV Australia’s portfolio that expands its local capacity to around 1 GW.
2.5 MW solar project for Coca-Cola: JA Solar says it has supplied its DeepBlue 4.0 Pro solar modules for a 2.5 MW solar PV project at global beverages giant Coca-Cola’s Faisalabad production plant in Pakistan. These modules, it explained, work well in extremely challenging environmental conditions such as these exist in northeastern Pakistan. For Coca-Cola, this project is part of its efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.
Ingeteam supplies for Australian project: Spanish solar inverter supplier Ingeteam has supplied the Stubbo Solar Project in Australia with 2 power plant controller (PPC) systems including more than 300 inverters, plant control systems and commissioning services. The project being built by EPC company PCL Construction in New South Wales (NSW) is an ACEN Australia project. On completion, it will generate enough renewable energy to power an average of 185,000 Australian homes, according to the company.
100 MW solar farm contract: Malaysian solar PV EPCC solutions provider Founder Group Limited (FGL) has won a conditional letter of award (LOA) for a 100 MW solar farm in Tanjung Malim, Malaysia. The $68 million solar farm will provide 100 MW of export capacity to power an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) data center in Enstek City. FGL will work alongside turnkey solution provider Hexatoff Group on the project.
